Hello Fans!
We have been super busy rehearsing like crazy! We needed to sinceKooky Kazoodle, also known as Scaley Kaylee has left the province and won’treturn until August 9th!!! She is frenching it up in Quebec on holiday with herfamily.
In other news, all of the posters, handbills and programs are done andthey look great! Be sure to keep a look out for the posters around Edmonton andlook for a handbill on the Fringe Grounds during the magical week.
Speaking of Fringe grounds and handbills, I am excited to say that TheKazoodles have found a group of wonderful clowns who are willing to help uspass out our handbills, one clown being out director, Barry Bilinsky! We are excitedto be working with such fun guys and gals! :o)
We are getting extremely excited to perform and can’t waitfor a real live audience to watch and participate ()it just isn’t the sameduring rehearsals asking for suggestions to an empty room!)
Don’t forget to bring your toonie for a Kazoodle Kazoo (wewill be roaming around selling them in-between shows and we might get help fromsome of the clowns – as long as they are chaperoned -some clowns really likeshiny things!)
We are getting more and more excited each day and cannotwait to share our show with you! By the date of our opening show we will havebeen working on The Brain Train to Imagination Station for 11 months! We hopeour hard work pays off and that you all enjoy what you see!
Much Love, Kazoodloo!

On February 2, 2011, The Kazoodles, Josh, Morgan and Kaylee, decided to check out a free Fred Penner Concert at St. Albert Center Mall. We all grew up loving Mr. Penner and he was a large influence on the creation of our group. Josh saw Fred during the summer of 2010 at the Edmonton Valley Zoo, and asked him for some tips; it was after that visit that Josh decided he was going to go for it and start a children's musical group. He posted a status on facebook that day asking if anyone else was interested and Morgan and Kaylee jumped on the opportunity! Since the fall of 2010 The Kazoodles have been working hard to create their first show which is premiering at the Edmonton Fringe Festival in 2011.
So, back to Fred Penner.... we went to this concert with high hopes of meeting him and possibly getting some advice. So we went with our t-shirts on and our kazoos in hand, and to our greatest surprise and best luck, Fred Penner asked us to join him on stage!!! Kaylee and Morgan had been playing the kazoos prior to the show while waiting for Josh, and Fred heard the music and liked it! We went on stage and played a never-before-tried version of Katy Perry's Teenage Dream, with back-up from Fred and Paul (Fred's right hand man) and then we kazooed along to Sandwiches!
We had so much fun and we are all so thankful for the opportunity we were given from Mr. Penner.
We will always love his music and keep him in our hearts as the inspiration for The Kazoodles!

From the Kazoodles to you:
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!
We know that a lot of Canadians are not Christians (not all the Kazoodles are either) so we also want to say Happy Holidays to all of you!
This is the time of year when it is most important to spend time with family and friends. It is also a hard time of year for a lot of families because of financial reasons. We hope to urge everyone to donate to your local food bank and/ or charities to help those who are less fortunate. (Donating new or old toys is a great way to brighten a child's Christmas too!)
We would also like to express our love and strength to all those who have lost a family member or friend this year. We hope that you and your family stay strong and spend time together in your time of loss. Morgan, a Kazoodle, grew up in Bonnyville Alberta. I know that there has been a great deal of loss in the town this year and some close friends of hers were lost. We hope that everybody stays strong and keeps love in their hearts through this season.
Again, We hope you have a Kazoo Christmas!
Love the Kazoodles
